Music & Arts

Sacred music, Grammy-nominated recordings, and Broadway

With his wife Katya, Alex Lukianov supports Orthodox choral music and the performing arts as a founder, producer, and singer.

PaTRAM Institute

Preserving and performing Orthodox sacred choral music

With his wife Katya, Lukianov’s involvement in sacred music has developed into a substantial organizational commitment. In 2013, he co-founded the Patriarch Tikhon Russian-American Music Institute, widely known as PaTRAM. He serves as its board chairman.
The institute supports Orthodox liturgical singing in English and Church Slavonic through education, training for singers and choir directors, recordings, and performances.
His contributions extend beyond the chairman’s title. In an interview about PaTRAM, Katya described his responsibilities as including strategic planning, selecting recording and concert venues, organizing choirs, coordinating events, and fundraising. She contributes to artistic planning and repertoire, making the institute an expression of their complementary interests.
